September Update
Some notes:

Only a month into the semester, we've had some wildly successful EGSO events including two birthday parties, a going away party, bowling, a picnic, and more. Pictures of these will be posted soon... and I hope to have the alumni section of the site available before the end of October.

In other news, the Graduate Conference Committee will start its full-scale planning next week. If you want to take part in this and haven't already emailed Tim, now would be the time to do so.
Snakes on a Plane

Last night we traveled to Roanoke for the first semi-official EGSO event of the year: a Thursday night viewing of Snakes On A Plane. The verdict? I think our opinions were mostly in line with two film critics:

"1. It has the potential to supplant The Rocky Horror Picture Show as the greatest audience participation movie of all time. 2. It is, simultaneously, one of the worst and best movies I’ve ever seen." --Pete Vonder Haar, Film Threat

and

"A movie called Snakes on a Plane had better be one of two things: So bad it's good or so good it's great. Darned if it isn't a little bit of both." --Ty Burr, The Boston Globe

In short, we loved it. Pics from the trip soon.
